About Emma

I offer therapy for adults, teens and couples. I have over 12 years of experience working in the mental health and treatment field in various capacities. I have extensive experience working people struggling with substance abuse, behavioral addictions, the impact of trauma, mood disorders, and borderline traits on both a group and individual level.

I received my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University with a specialization in Psychological Trauma Studies. I am also a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC-III) and have experience volunteering with Trevor Project’s crisis line serving LGBTQ+ youth. I have completed Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Brainspotting training.

I am passionate about and committed to what I do- asking for support takes a tremendous amount of courage, and it is an honor to guide folks through this process.

About my practice

My approach to therapy is holistic and integrative, but rooted in person-centered and trauma-informed perspectives. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, inclusive, and social justice oriented.

My treatment approach draws from different modalities and perspectives including psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), parts work, existential psychology, mindfulness, and attachment theory. I utilize Brainspotting in addition to talk therapy.

Mental health concerns and negative core beliefs can limit us from fully participating in our lives. Having personally experienced the benefits of therapy, I’m dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing space where clients can explore their inner worlds with honesty, compassion, and curiosity.

At the core of my practice lies a deep belief in the power of authentic connection and the transformative impact of therapy. For me, therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution- it's a collaborative and creative process where we work together to cultivate a life that is in alignment with what matters most to you.
