Typically we will start with a 15 minute consultation call so we can both determine if it is a good fit. This is a space where you can ask questions and I can give some more information about how therapy with me will look. If we decided to move forward we can schedule a first session and I will provide you with intake documents to complete beforehand. If I am not the best fit for you for any reason, I can provide you with appropriate referrals.

I believe strongly that therapy is a collaborative and transformative process. The length of time in therapy, what sessions will look like, and interventions we use will depend on each clients unique needs and goals. The therapy process begins with building trust and rapport so we can create a safe container for you to bring whatever you need to into the space. We will explore your inner world together and identify patterns, process emotions, foster-self awareness, deepen self-compassion, and develop insight that can lead to meaningful growth.

Brainspotting is a type of therapy that helps people access, process, and release trauma or emotional pain by identifying specific eye positions called “brainspots”. It works by focusing on these specific points in the visual field to access deeper processing centers in the brain so healing can occur on a deeper, neurological level. Brainspotting therapy is deeply impactful because it can help individuals process and release trauma and emotions that may be difficult to access through traditional talk therapy. Brainspotting can be the primary focus in our work or can be an adjunct to traditional talk therapy sessions. Often times I will recommend that we schedule longer sessions when we are using Brainspotting or do sessions twice weekly to ensure we are getting the most out of this modality and allowing time and space to process and integrate what is coming up.

I am not in network with any insurance companies. However, I can provide you with monthly super bills that you can submit to your insurance provider.

Typically sessions are 50 minutes. However, I also offer 75 minute sessions which can be particularly beneficial if we are incorporating Brainspotting. I strongly recommend scheduling consistent weekly sessions especially when first beginning therapy together so we can establish the therapeutic relationship. Sessions can also be scheduled multiple times a week and eventually can drop down to biweekly or as needed, depending on availability.
